FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How much do you charge for freight and delivery?

We charge a flat delivery fee of $8.50 Australia-wide, regardless of how many items you order.

PO Box deliveries incur a $15 fee due to courier surcharges imposed by carriers for Post Office Box deliveries.

If you will not be home, you may request Authority to Leave at checkout. Please note that parcels left at unattended addresses are delivered at the customer’s risk.

Can I pick up my order in person?

No.

The Cartridge Warehouse is an online-only business.
Our stock is held across multiple secure warehouses nationwide and ships directly from those locations.

For security and logistics reasons, warehouse pick-up is not available.

For a flat $8.50 delivery fee, we can ship anywhere in Australia — usually faster and cheaper than travelling to a warehouse location.

Do you deliver overseas?

Yes, we ship internationally.

  • Overseas freight must be quoted per order

  • Payment is via direct bank transfer only

  • Orders must be approved before payment is made

Please contact us before placing an international order.

Are your products original?

Yes.

We sell genuine (OEM) cartridges, clearly identified on our website.

We also sell compatible and re-manufactured cartridges, which offer substantial savings while meeting strict quality and performance standards. The primary difference you will notice is the price.

What does OEM mean?

OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer.

OEM cartridges are produced by the same companies that manufacture printers, such as HP, Canon, Brother, Epson, Lexmark, and others. These cartridges are often branded with the manufacturer’s name, even if produced by an approved third-party facility.

The Cartridge Warehouse stocks a full range of OEM cartridges at competitive prices.

What are compatible cartridges?

Compatible cartridges are newly manufactured cartridges designed to meet or exceed OEM specifications.

They:

  • Are 100% compatible with your printer

  • Use all-new components

  • Offer significant cost savings over OEM cartridges

What are re-manufactured cartridges?

Re-manufactured cartridges are original OEM cartridges that have been professionally:

  • Disassembled and cleaned

  • Fitted with replacement parts

  • Refilled with toner or ink

  • Fully tested and sealed for resale

They are designed to perform to at least the same standard as the original cartridge.

What is an ink refill kit?

An ink refill kit contains ink, syringes, clips, and instructions to refill empty ink cartridges.

This is generally the lowest-cost option for extending cartridge life, however it requires care and may not be suitable for all users.

Will using compatible or re-manufactured cartridges void my printer warranty?

No.

Under Australian Consumer Law, printer manufacturers cannot void your printer warranty simply because you use compatible, re-manufactured, or refilled cartridges.

Independent testing and manufacturer statements confirm that warranty coverage remains intact.

Can I pay by cheque?

Yes, we accept cheques from Australian customers.

  • Cheques must clear before orders are shipped

  • Personal cheques must include your name and address on the reverse

Please send cheques payable to The Cartridge Warehouse to:

PO Box 246
Watsonia VIC 3087
