Are Compatible (also known as Generic) cartridges as reliable as Genuine?
The question you need to ask yourself first is - If this cartridge does not work in my machine can I afford the downtime? It can take a day or so to arrange a replacement. If you only have one printer in the office and it is critical that it works all of the time then maybe you should consider sticking with Genuine cartridges. If the machine is not that important or you have another printer that you can use in the event of any trouble then Compatible are worth a try. In the event of a problem the savings on a Compatible can far out-weigh the costs of a Genuine cartridge.
Compatible cartridges are manufactured to perform and print just as good as a Genuine cartridge. But we like to be honest and upfront right from the start. Expect a problem at some stage with a Compatible cartridge.

Never had a faulty non genuine
Over the 6 years since I bought my Samsung CLP315, I have bought genuine and non genuine cartridges. I have been made aware that the non genuine product may cause me problems, however, I am yet to experience any issues with them. As far as I can tell the non genuine product is just as good as the original. I have had my printer serviced recently, and there is no evidence of any concerns with using the alternative in my machine.
The cost savings between the genuine and non genuine are a key factor in purchase decision at the moment given that I have returned to university studies, and the disposable income I once enjoyed has dried up.
I have been buying my cartridges from the cartridge warehouse now for over 4 years, and find them to be the most cost effective, efficient business in this arena. I cannot recommend them highly enough for the quality of the service I receive.
